Are you sabotaging your success with excuses? As I continue to grow, I become more and more ALLERGIC to excuses. Yes, allergic. I don't mind this allergy though because it prevents me from SELF SABOTAGE.
Excuses are VERY sneaky because we can easily convince ourselves they are TRUE. Those who have been running from a painful past tend to have the MOST convincing excuses throughout EVERY facet of their life, thereby making it even harder for them to stop using them. Coming from a traumatic background as a childhood sexual abuse survivor, I know first hand. And we convince ourselves we have explored EVERY option to solve our problems, which further solidifies our ATTACHMENT to the excuse.
To be blunt, excuses mask FEAR....fear of the unknown, fear of getting out of one's comfort zone, fear of letting go, fear of success, fear of failure, etc. Do yourself a favor, do not believe NOT one of the excuses in your head, even those excuses you've made up about your finances, relationships or weight. I know I'm over-simplifying this, but I think you get the point. There are a TON of tools at your disposal to help you move forward. You just have to be WILLING to let go of your attachment to the excuse.
